"Hutch Jones!": Bio

"Hutch Jones!" - Saxophonist/songwriter/composer

Born Paul Lawrence "Hutch" Jones, Jr. in Trenton, New Jersey, music has always been his passion! He was a member of Trenton Central High School Performance Bands and the Grambling Tiger Marching Band. Hutch is an alumnus of Berklee College of Music in Boston, Mass.
Hutch has toured the United States, Europe and Canada extensively. Hutch's credits include performing at the "Newport Jazz Festival", "New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival" and other jazz festivals. His other performance venues include the "Village Gate" the "Copa Cabana", "Small's Paradise Home of the Stars", "Club Harlem" "One Step Down", "Blues Alley" and the "Lincoln Center".
Career highlights for Hutch include working, touring and recording with such legends as "Sun Ra and his Arkestra" and the Grammy Award winning soul and disco group "The Tramps". Along the way he's worked with several well known musicians in the Philly/Jersey/Soul sound, notably "Instant Funk" and formerly of the "Temptations", Ali Woodson and Ron Tyson.
After living on the East Coast and in New Orleans (NOLA) for many years, Hutch joined the California music community. He now lives in the Bay area.
